Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Fulfillment Manager, the Cannabis Packaging Associate packages, receives, stores, pulls, ships and distributes materials following established department procedures. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Highly motivated individuals with the ability to multi-task and oversee operational aspects is highly desirable.

Full Job Description

  • Packages and prepares orders for fulfillment.

  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station for the shipping department.

  • Quality control of daily fulfillment orders.

  • Properly prepare small package shipments for shipping.

  • Ship small packages utilizing shipping software.

  • Prepare fulfillment orders for LTL shipments.

  • Distribute department transfers.

  • Isle Maintenance – fronting and consolidating products, removing empty boxes and pallets.

  • Cycle Counts – physical counting of all items in assigned isle(s).

  • Verify and sign for all deliveries into the facility.

  • Verify and distribute paper shipments to the appropriate departments.

  • Verification of products – accurate receiving counts and documentation preparation.

  • Putting products away in the warehouse following department processes.

  • Accurate Data Collection.

  • Read and understand the Job “Work Order” for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order.

  • Complete production time keeping records (Data Collection)

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in production, packaging, and/or fulfillment.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to work Monday-Friday.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (including but not limited to 365, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.

  • Detail Oriented/strong attention to detail.

Summary

The Cultivation Team is integral to ensuring a high-quality product is grown and harvested. Cultivation Assistant would be involved from the very beginning of the cultivation cycle, until the very end. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, intelligent individuals who care deeply about nurturing top tier products to be consumed by discerning customers.

JOB Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Must obtain approval to work in the cannabis industry per all local and state requirements, prior to employment.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations, and analysis.

  • Working knowledge of cannabis and cannabis-infused product production from seed to sell or a background in horticulture and a willingness to learn.

  • Experience with inventory control methods.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including listening, negotiation, and conflict management.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships to gain support and achieve results both internally and externally.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solving.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Clone, plant, water, and fertilize plants, using hand tools and gardening tools.

  • Harvesting, trimming, transplanting, potting, and labeling the plants.

  • Recording information about plants and plant growth.

  • Examining plants and bud ties to assess quality and for signs of pests or disease

  • Washing pots/trays/lights, cleaning work areas and maintaining tools in accordance with sanitation standards.

Physical Standards Required:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, sometimes at a height of 10 feet or more, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks

  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)

  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as: reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions

  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
